I grew up in the country, surrounded by more sky and field than people. I enjoyed reading fantasy novels and playing video games that transported me into another world. Eventually I started drawing and painting those other worlds that I went to in my books and games. Which lead me to the Art Academy of Cincinnati, where I studied illustration.
There I gained a love of the 19th century figure painters as well as the old masters. While still ever reading fantasy books and playing games. While sharpening my skills at the pencil and brush, I also became fond of tablets and computer mice. In 2005 I graduated with my BFA in Communication Arts with an emphasis in illustration.
Since then I have freelanced with my illustration skills to role-playing game companies and film projects. I have also delved into the world of design with website and print designs to help clients communicate their message.
